Sara Benjamin, PhD, MPH

Sara Benjamin is a first-year Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Obesity Prevention Program. Her general research interest is in childhood obesity prevention, with specific focus on children birth to five years of age. Her current research focuses on the influence of state and federal policy on environmental and health outcomes in young children. In addition, she is working on an intervention to improve the nutrition and physical activity environment for infants in out-of-home child care settings. Dr. Benjamin completed her PhD and MPH at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
