Fang Zhang is an instructor of the Department of Ambulatory Care and Prevention. His primary research interests are in health services, public health surveillance and general Bayesian methodology development, particularly as it pertains to the statistical aspects of evaluating the impacts of local, national and international pharmaceutical policies and drug safety monitoring. He is currently providing statistical support for various studies including studies to evaluate the impact of Medicare drug benefit on use and cost-related underuse of medicines, studies to evaluate the prior authorization policies of atypical antipsychotic agents, bipolar agents and antidepressants. He is also involved in multi-site studies on vaccine and medication safety.
