The Department of Ambulatory Care and Prevention (DACP), a joint academic department of Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, invites applications for the position of Professor of Ambulatory Care and Prevention. The department is seeking an individual with extensive experience and an outstanding record as an investigator and/or teacher, as well as expertise in medical generalism and ambulatory/primary care. This individual will lead DACP's initiatives in ambulatory/primary care and also serve as the head of the HMS Division of Primary Care.
The department's unique partnership with a not-for-profit health insurance plans provides opportunities for academic work that integrates research and teaching with delivery systems responsible for the total preventive care and treatment of large populations. DACP offers opportunities to work with an interdisciplinary faculty in a collegial and collaborative environment, with strong ties to research and teaching networks locally, nationally, and internationally. The Department is seeking an individual who has demonstrated significant leadership ability to assume a key role in guiding the department's future.
