Sessions may be linked via video conferencing to the National Public Health Institute in Mexico.


Objective:

The purpose of the seminar series is to provide HMS Pharmaceutical Policy Research Fellows and others with the knowledge and tools necessary to conduct rigorous pharmaceutical policy research. The seminar focuses on:

  • pressing US and international medicines policy issues; and
  • cutting edge methodologies to assess medicines policy effects

Intended Audience:

Attendees are assumed to have a basic understanding of research design and regression methods and will likely include:

  • HMS Pharmaceutical Policy Research and other DACP Fellows
  • Doctoral and Masters level students in health policy and related fields
  • DACP Faculty
  • Clinicians, researchers, and policy makers interested in pharmaceutical policy issues

Organization:

The seminar features presentations by renowned faculty in the field and by stakeholders in the pharmaceutical policy arena from industry, managed care organizations, government, and non-governmental organzations. In addition, the seminar serves as a platform for HMS Pharmaceutical Policy Research Fellows to present their Fellowship work in progress.


Certificate of Attendance:

If requested, a certificate of attendance is given at the end of each seminar year to participants who attend 5 or more seminar sessions. A sign-in sheet will be available at all sessions.
