General Information
The Department of Ambulatory Care and Prevention (DACP) at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care is accepting applications for a one-year Fellowship in Pharmaceutical Policy Research for academic year 2009-2010. The Fellowship is intended to train individuals to produce rigorous research to inform pharmaceutical policy decision making in both the private and public sector, including (but not limited to) research on access to, outcomes, and quality of care; cost containment strategies, and insurance policies; and ethics underlying policy decision making.
Fellows will actively participate in research projects under the guidance of well-established investigators at DACP. The Fellowship Brochure includes a description of the Fellowship and Faculty areas of research. A list of past and current Fellows can be found here.
Fellows receive workspace, computing facilities, and access to libraries and other resources of Harvard University during the fellowship year. Fellows will attend the biweekly Pharmaceutical Policy Research Seminar. In addition to opportunities to present research at departmental and national meetings, Fellows may attend selected advanced methodological training courses and seminars at various schools within Harvard University. Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Policy Research Fellows' support and expectations can be found here.
